Job Weather Privacy Policy

Effective September 30, 2026

Job Weather is a free app from M2Q, a Florida company (“M2Q”, “we”, “us”), that gives contractors weather and alerts for their job sites. This policy explains what we collect, why, who we share it with, and your choices. It covers the Job Weather app for iPhone and Android and these pages. For the M2Q product itself, see the M2Q Privacy Policy.

The short version. We collect what the app needs to show your jobs’ weather and send you alerts: your sign-in email, the job addresses you add, and your alert settings. We don’t sell your information. Texts you send your installers go from your own phone — we never see them. You can delete your account and everything in it from the app at any time.

1. What we collect

You give us:

  • Account details — your email address, or the details Apple or Google share when you sign in with them (usually your name and email; with Apple you can hide your email).
  • Jobs — job names, addresses and their map location, start and end dates, notes, and whether a job is active or completed.
  • Installer details — the name and phone number of the installer you add to a job, typed in or picked from your contacts. When you pick a contact, the app reads only that one contact. Please add people only if you have their permission.
  • Cities you follow and which one is your home city.
  • Settings — which alerts you want, your work hours, quiet hours, morning-brief time and units.

Collected when you use the app:

  • A push notification token for your phone, your time zone and the app version, so alerts reach the right phone at the right time.
  • Alert history — the alerts we sent you, so they show in the Alerts tab and aren’t sent twice.
  • Your location, only if you allow it and only while you use the app, to find your city or show where you are on the map. We don’t track your location in the background and don’t store it unless you save that place.
  • Consent records — when you agreed to these terms and to hear from M2Q.

We don’t use advertising trackers, and we don’t read your messages, calls or contacts list.

2. How we use it

  • To show forecasts, daylight and official weather alerts for your job addresses and cities.
  • To send the alerts you turned on — rain coming, the morning brief, official warnings and tomorrow’s outlook.
  • To write the ready-to-send text for your installer, which you send yourself from your phone’s Messages or WhatsApp.
  • To keep your jobs in your account across phones, keep the service secure, and fix problems.
  • To send you emails and messages about Job Weather and other M2Q products, if you agreed at sign-up. You can opt out at any time (section 6).

3. Who we share it with

We don’t sell or rent your personal information. We share only what each service needs to run the app:

  • Supabase — hosting, database and sign-in (United States).
  • Weather sources — the U.S. National Weather Service, Environment and Climate Change Canada and, where used, Apple Weather. They receive map points, not your name or account; we round job locations to an area about 2 km wide before asking for a forecast.
  • Google — address search (the text you type into the address box) and Google sign-in if you choose it. Maps on Android are provided by Google.
  • Apple — Sign in with Apple, push notifications and maps on iPhone.
  • Expo — relays push notifications to Apple and Google.
  • Email delivery — our email provider sends sign-in codes and, if you agreed, M2Q emails.
  • Legal reasons — if the law requires it, or to protect the rights and safety of our users or M2Q.
  • A business change — if M2Q is involved in a merger or sale, your information may move with the service, and this policy will still apply to it.

The radar map loads public image tiles from Iowa State University’s Environmental Mesonet, which receives only the map area being viewed.

4. How long we keep it

We keep your account information until you delete your account. Completed jobs stay until you delete them or your account. When you delete your account, your jobs, cities, settings and alert history are deleted right away from the live database; backups age out within 30 days. We may keep a record of your consent where the law requires it.

5. Your choices and rights

  • Delete your account — in the app, Settings → Delete account, or see how to delete your account.
  • See, correct or export your information — most of it can be edited in the app. For a copy of everything, email support@m2q.ai.
  • Location, contacts and notifications — turn these on or off any time in your phone’s settings.

Depending on where you live (for example California or other U.S. states, or Canada), you may have more rights, such as knowing what we collect and asking us to delete it. We honor these requests for all users and won’t treat you differently for using them.

6. Emails and messages from M2Q

If you agreed at sign-up, M2Q may send you emails and messages about Job Weather and our other products. Every email has an unsubscribe link, you can reply STOP to any text message, or email support@m2q.ai to opt out. Opting out doesn’t affect your weather alerts or your account.

7. Security

Data is encrypted in transit, and each account can only reach its own data. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and will tell you if a breach affects you, as the law requires.

8. Children

Job Weather is made for working contractors and isn’t meant for children under 13. We don’t knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child gave us information, contact us and we’ll delete it.

9. Changes

If we change this policy, we’ll update the date above. For significant changes we’ll also tell you in the app or by email before they take effect.

10. Contact
